Easy peasy turkey meatballs with sautéed veggies

I really don’t think there is an easier recipe for meatballs than this one. You don’t even have to turn on your oven!

Turkey Meatballs

The best part about this recipe is how versatile it is depending on the sauce you choose to simmer it in. Trader Joe’s creamy Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce is my choice of poison. Its not healthy, but it is delicious! And the flavor is so mild even the pickiest of eaters should enjoy it.


There really isn’t too much to these meatballs. Chop up some onion and garlic to taste, mix in some bread crumbs and an egg, and form into a ball-like shape.


Add your sauce of choice and simmer until delicious. They do like to stick to the pan so prepare for a few casualties.

A quick entree deserves an easily as quick side dish. My favorite way to prepare veggies is with a little olive oil and chopped fresh garlic


Toss in some fresh veggies, in this case green beans and sliced bell pepper and sauté until your desired texture.


Really, you couldn’t ask for an easier meal.


Easy Peasy Turkey Meatballs

  • 1.25 lb  lean ground turkey breast
  • 1/4 cup  breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Reggiano Parmigiano cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 large clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2.5 cups marinara sauce

Mix all ingredients together and form into a ball shape, about 30 meatballs. Add to a pan and pour sauce on top, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Makes about 6 servings.
